New Audi TT RS Coupe and TT RS Roadster arriving late 2016
The redesigned second generation TT RS model comes with a redesigned 5 cylinder engine, the TT Roadster can reach 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds while TT Rs in 3.7 seconds. The new RS models have a distinctive look thanks to the fixed rear spoiler and honeycomb grille. Their unmistakable engine sound comes from the double-pipe exhaust. The design is still instantly recognisable TT design, the new TT Roadster comes with a fabric hood for open-top driving.
The Coupe is capable of a top speed of 174mph however UK models will be limited to 155mph. The new TT has an impressive 394bhp. The new TT RS will cost in the region of £50,000.
The convertible, TT RS Roadster, is also fast even though it carries an extra 90kg to compensate for having a retractable roof. The roof opens and closes electrically in 10 seconds at speeds up to 31mph.
The interior is not much different from previous version. It comes with a minimalist dashboard, 12.3inch TFT Virtual Cockpit, the steering wheel has a sportier look.
